The Capital City Stealth (4-3 conf. / 6-3 overall) and the West Michigan Tigers met at the Stealth’s temporary home venue, Dansville High School’s Fuller Field. Coming into the game the Tigers found themselves ahead of the Stealth in the league standings, but in this game they were brought back down to earth. The Stealth pulled away early and never looked back, winning by an impressive 25-point margin.

The action began right from the opening kickoff with the Stealth putting together an emphatic first drive capped off by the hometown star, David Culham, who pulled in a 2-yard touchdown reception. The half continued as teams traded possessions, the Stealth offense moving the ball and the Tigers offense struggling to make up any ground. With just 8 seconds left in the half, Mike Frisbie was on the receiving end of a beautiful deep throw by Damon Young to make the halftime score 20-0.

The second half began the same way as the first with the home team striking first. The Tigers did find a way to put up some points off of a couple Stealth turnovers, but the high-powered offense of the Stealth was way too much for the Tigers to handle. In the end, the Stealth pulled two final impressive drives together to put the nail in the coffin and seal the deal on this impressive win.

Offensively, the Stealth were led by their quarterback, Damon Young, and his group of receivers who played arguably their best game of the season. David Culham, Mike Frisbie, and Leroy Green all found the end zone once and Terry Love chipped in 66 receiving yards including a 38 yard catch and run to the 1 yard line. The trio of Brandon Dunn, Jordan Martin, and Jordan Taylor added 3 scores on the ground for the Stealth.

Defensively, the Stealth’s always-imposing combo of hard hitters and sneaky secondary once again were dominant. Justin Frision had 2 interceptions to go with 4 tackles, David Culham added 4 tackles of his own, and Marshall Brice had the games most notable hit with a sack that was heard all the way up in press box. On special teams the Stealth’s coverage was solid. Additionally, both their kicking game and kick returning gave them the field position advantage throughout the game.
